I have played bots at nothing but the highest levels for years, and while the cube is efficient, it is certainly not always a double and a take. Even at the highest levels, some times a rollout proves it was wrong to double or waited too long!

As for checker play, why should I waste half of my time when I'm playing a bot by ignoring the bots plays because I am not sure if they are right? I learn much more by watching what the bot plays, and when I'm surprised, it usually means I'm about to learn something.

This assumes you are playing the bot to learn. Why else play a bot? And why dilute the learning process?
