Extras in chouettes

Interlocking chouettes are tremendous fun. There are some downsides to them though. You get 'interlocking takes' by the box - i.e. taking only his opponent and the two players on the other board.
The rule we use in SF is you have to take from the bottom of the order. Thus, the players on the other board are always the first to get dropped, and the next player who will be up on the second board is next in line, and so on.
We start interlocking as soon as we get 6-7 players.
Also, keeping track of your cube actions on the other board while playing vs the team on your board can make it somewhat hairy.
This you just get used to after awhile. I have made mistakes once in awhile but not often.
Much can be remedied by relying on someone else to handle your cube, going with the crowd/captain, doubling or dropping to deprive yourself of cube access or if other measures fail just keeping a close watch on the other board.
I have on occasion tried to play 2 chouettes at once but it's hairier since the boards aren't right next to each other. It can be done, though.
