Ed, I agree with you complete. As for the device, it's very simple. Go to any sporting goods store and buy a clear, plastic racquetball can. Remove the balls, put in two die, put the top on. Shake it and set it down. Impossible for anyone to cheat or manipulate the dice.

I tried bringing this to our chouette and using it but nobody liked it. People just don't like change. All dice should be rolled in this manner, in my opinion.
