Hi everybody, I think you miss the point. Usually a dice cheater is someone who is already at the stage of an advanced player. When he cheats, it is just in some particular situations when the end of the game is 90% determined by luck, i.e. bear-off, race, or bear-in and run to avoid a gammon. And because, the normal dice didn't advantage him enough so far, by providing a safe margin. Moreover he "needs" to cheat in the early rounds of a tournament in order to reach the final four or final eight, the paid places. This is at this time that people should be very vigilant. Then if the dice are good for him in the semis, or in the final, obviously, he doesn't need to cheat and even if they are bad, if he is clever, it would be stupid for him to try cheating at this stage and being discovered. There is enough money in the pot to keep on throwing the dice normally. And the reputation of having reached the final 4 or being the winner will attract enough players for money games at high stakes, where his bad habits will bloom.

So once again, this not only at the final stages, in order to protect the giant 32, that some action should be undertaken, but in the early stages, when some unknown advanced players try to advance honestly in the ladders of the tournament.

Regards Pierre
