So this doesn't happen with VR? In that case it shouldn't matter which bot (or non-bot) does the VR analysis.

It will matter for a single match, but not on average over a long enough series of matches. You do trust VR in rollouts, don't you?

Assuming they have the functionality, yes. And if a beginner human were to perform the VR algorithm, apart from it being tedious, it would be unbiased, but maybe it would turn out to be variance increasing.

It's true I don't understand VR, but a VR analysis must take some understanding of the position, right?

Yes. Bad understanding of the positions affects the variance, but not the mean.
