Right, Bill...
As stated before:
- Official tournament precision dice (numbered and marked as such) to be borrowed against deposit.... OK
- Clocked matches.... OK
- Lipped dice cups.... OK
- 1 set of dice used... OK
- Videotaping matches... OK
- Having matches monitored by staff and TDs when in doubt and if possible.... OK
- Baffle-boxes.... Objection. It takes away the fun of shaking and rolling dice.
- Funny devices like sealed glass with dice.... Objection. This is not backgammon anymore. And, who tells you if the dice inside the glass are random?
- Playing on a digital dice generator.... Objection. Again, that can be rigged and that is not backgammon. Stay home and play on your computers instead, Iīd say.
Bottom line: Donīt fret, donīt lose your hair, donīt panic. If you have doubts, call the TD and use all devices you can and which are part of the game.
And Ed, as long as you donīt communicate any names, donīt expect any TD to do anything. Powerful or not, if you just point out suspicions without giving names (even in private so the suspects can be watched more carefully until getting busted), the game wonīt become any cleaner than it is.
