You will note that gnus play of slotting all inner points is similar to the idea I espoused, except it doesn't give you a chance to take advantage of the rare time when you CAN win going forward...

My play allows for that but is prepared to go into full reverse... flexibile game plans are called for overall in this game we call backgammon.
