"When you pick the moves in the analysis pane and hit the buttons did you check to see if the eval settings are correct from the analysis pane? Before hitting the eval buttons (0-4) click on the "..." button. Check to see if pruning is on in there. I am betting pruning is turned on there, which would probably explain why they are different."

I did check that, and pruning was off. You lost your bet! :)
