First stab at a backgammon app for the iPhone

From my initial observations, the app definitely seems to have a pretty good clue how to play the early to mid portions of the game. But it seems the moment I've managed to escape all of my checkers from its side of the board (assume it still has an anchor on my side, so plenty of contact), it starts going beserk and breaking all of its homeboard points and putting blots everywhere and moving checkers deep into the homeboard. It will do this even if I may be forced to leave a shot with certain numbers. Very strange. Anyway, if a stronger net is in the future plans, I imagine this kind of stuff should eventually go away.
I'm sure it is nowhere near statsig, but so far I've played 28 games and I've won 20 of them.
Anyway, the UI seems pretty good. As many have said, landscape is a must. And things like the cube and match play or running score you certainly know. But even a W/L stat with reset in the current version would be nice. I'd also like to see an auto-bearoff option if contact is broken, and possibly a "finish game" button.
Out of curiosity, is the game considering gammon values? Or is it just playing DMP?
