Looks like between the few outfield hits and an immediate entry with a 4 by white before the checker on the 18 point can come around, not to mention a 44 by white making it an even race and white has enough threats to justify cashing this now. Gammon chances are low and it looks to me like white probably wins more games than blue wins gammons. Bad as white's 2 homeboard blots are, he still has a 4 point board and an easy take if blue gets hit.
