Hitting is clear.It brings us 3pips ahead in the race and stop Stick's escapee. There is two decent moves for four.24/20 and 13/9.Spliting is useful especialy when white has stack on midpt which will try to unstack next roll and there is no danger for blitz with white on the bar and only 8 checkers in the zone.From the other side two down is more gammonish play and behind in the match we are inclined to make such a move.The racing lead is not big so running play is not thematic and it will be enough time for escape.My choice is two down.
