A Bad Beat for the Ages and a Regular Bad Beat

Bad beats can qualify in my opinion not only by how ridiculous the entire sequence was, such as your getting pounded after being at least a 99.5% MW favorite but also the point in the match/tourney where someone has the sun shine on their ass. What burns me the most from my European trip so far isn't the fact that I lost in the first match of every first round (main, 1st conso, 2nd conso, last chance) in the main in Monte Carlo and that having recorded 3/4 matches I know I outplayed at least 3/4 of my opponents or in the main money round in Georgia to get to the finals I get blown out of the water like a fish randomly swimming through an area he has no idea the gov't has designed a nuclear bomb testing site ... it's the position below.
This is from the Super Jackpot in Monte Carlo. Whoever wins this will be in the finals and the payouts are roughly 3/4th=3k, 2nd=6k, 1st=18k. The match has progressed in a normal fashion with me gaining the slight overall advantage of being up -5 -6 and my opponent is on roll here and cubes. I take, he rolls 43 and plays 13/6 and now I roll 63.
I should take time to mention how much I hate ppl crying, whining, bitching, complaining, moaning and groaning before the sequence is over. I'd empathize if I had a closed board and got lucky and hit him but here I got lucky and hit him and it's far from over. This ranks up there with players winning the match, being outplayed, and somehow still along the way bitching about their dice. Anyway, I should momentarily digress I guess.
After I hit with my 'lucky' 63 he enters with 21 hitting both, I fan, he wins a backgammon for the match.
The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 5, Stick 6 (match to 11 points)
Move number 3: gnubg on roll, cube decision?
gnubg 96
