All I know is GNU dinged me for my action here, and I am a little upset by it!

Keep to the rule, don't question it, abide by it and you will live a long, healthy, prosperous bg life. When you're -3 and your opponent is > -5 and there's still significant contact you never have a cube, you're either too good or not good enough. The rare instance where you find the window, which is what I'm guessing you're upset by after following my rule, your error will be minute, no larger have I seen that fits my parameters that has come up in actual play than .03.

So cube action here? ND/T. If it's a cube by .02 I will sleep well at night because the majority of the time when it isn't a cube I've blundered or worse. The only time I recommend cubing these situations is when your opponent is ME ignorant and will drop, which comes up often.
