Falafel to play 41

Hi, First im new here at bgonline and very happy to be here, I have searced a forum for deep analyses for very long time.

About the 41, I have difficulty understanding 8-3*. We have a matchscore 8 away-1 away and we need ONE point. One option is to play 8-4 11-10 leaving only 33 as joker.

This seems like less risk to me. The relevant question might be. If we play 8-4 11-10, do we have problems coming up next roll which is greater than the ones we get from 8-3* ?

Sorry for not agreeing with Snowie on this on but I do not like the idee of playing 8-3* and getting hit.
