BG board with auto-pipcount?

Any time the tournament director will let me, I play my matches right on the computer (usually using Extremegammon)....even then, we often turn off the pip counter as the ability to count pips is one of the skill factors of the game that may differentiate one player from another. I like to leave it on, simply to save time, and most players in the Open division are reasonably skilled at counting. But I can certainly see why it could be of help to an intermediate and even some open players I know.

But another reason to just forget about the board and play on the computer is that you have the match immediately recorded and analyzed. Also, of course, you can project the board on to a large screen, as I often do, and you can simulcast or web cast the match to the entire world...which is what should be happening with the finals of every tournament to help promote the game and the interest in events worldwide.
