The bots aren't perfect either so take your results with a grain of salt but analyzing and then asking why for all the moves you fubared can be helpfully. I would trust Snowie's analysis before GNUs and yes, I do have some study to back this up. Snowie seems to play this sort of obnoxious containment game better (15 versus 1)
