The guy you talk about, Jason, is Jacob Garal....I respect his innovation and his desire to make the game more fun and interesting. I totally agree with his concept of shorter matches, for example, as they tend to be more exciting and it is at 5-away/5-away and under that you have the most checker and cube plays that change according to score.

I see no reason to have an electronic board when we can simply play on the computer. Personally, I could care less about rolling the dice or physically moving the checkers...I get the same charge out of playing on a computer...but I know many others don't feel that way. Perhaps they would feel differently if they played more on the computer. I would even play my chouettes on computers if others would go along with it. For one thing, I would have less concerns about dice manipulators, and for another, I love having the entire match recorded, and for another, if there is a bet or dispute, you can get an instant answer.
