GNU 4-ply gave a very different answer from a 335-game 2-ply cubeful rollout. I'm not sure whether the rollout can be trusted.

It sounds like you're lending more weight to GNU's 4 ply analysis than a rollout? I see no reason not to trust the rollout results (esp. comparing them to skank 4 ply). We also can't tell without you posting the rollout or not whether your results are meaningful.

I will tell you clearly this is ND and that you need not have wasted a rollout if that's the only part of the equation you were unsure of, simply follow my rule, it will not lead you astray.
