definitive solution for dice cheating

"And Ed, as long as you donīt communicate any names, donīt expect any TD to do anything."
Dice mechanics, or more generally cheaters, rarely are much of the "nice and friendly" type of people. Ed (and TDs or players) who HAVE come across such indivduals, know about this, and are reluctant to give names?
Who can blame legitimare fear?
(I recall a chronique by Danny Kleimann (Meanwhile, Back at the Chouette - 1981) regarding a known US based cheater in the 70s, whose name WAS disclosed in reports; I don't recall exact quote, but "threats of death" were mentionned along those reports.)
Ed has seen enough in his 40 years tournament and is one of the few alert players, who CAN spot cheaters. And he does. And he reports and should be thanked for it, because doing TDs job is not why he paid his reg fee.
But who wants every player to be like Ed anyway? (Surely Ed himself would love focus on his game, and play without wondering if he's being cheated!)
It doesn't belong to players to be alert on game security: they PAY the right to play in peace.
It's TD's job.
Baffle-boxes, with glass, without, numbered dice, changing color every game, rolling-slave, cameras, electronic dice and clocks...
Whatever.
Whatever it takes really, as long as it's cheat-proof, and keeps the game reasonably enjoyable...
Surely all of our BG big brains together could figure this one out?
I'd go with any, as long some consensus emerges between TDs.
It's about time for TDs to grant the BG community what's been asked for 30 years: Ban cheating once and for good!
I suggest a mandated consultation on that topic.
With hopes,
Eric.
