depth vs breadth

In Response To: depth vs breadth (Matt Reklaitis)

"Similarly, I'd expect there to be positions where a breadth evaluation performs better than a depth. Not sure what those would be, perhaps highly tactical/volatile positions."

Would the better choice for a position be itself something that a neural net could decide well?
