In Response To: Five Giants of Backgammon Are Sitting at a Diner (David)

Under the unstated assumptions that each Giant speaks the truth and also knows whether he wants coffee or not, the waitress can deduce that the first four wants coffee (but cannot know whether ALL want coffee until all have spoken).

If anyone is allowed to answer "I don't know" also because he himself simply has not decided yet the problem gets logically unsolvable and the waitress starts steaming.
