Something Wrong with Puzzle?

In Response To: 100 islanders logic puzzle (bob koca)

The more I think about this, the more confused I get.

The fact is, all 100 Islanders already know that 9 or 10 of them have blue eyes. So the Oracle saying that at least one of them has blue eyes does not provide any new information at all. (If only one of them had blue eyes, that would be a differnet story.)

What am I missing?
