Thanks...good explanation!

I did some limited exploration of variations myself. It looked like the decision whether to recube on the next roll was a tough one for gnubg, with rollouts not necessarily agreeing with evaluations for some of the rolls. It almost made me want a feature where you could tell gnubg to do a mini-rollout for its cube decisions during a rollout, if you see what I mean.
