My condolences to Walter's friends and family. May he rest in peace.

I never met Walter and it sounds like this was my loss based on the accolades for him as a human being, let alone his influence in backgammon. His Backgammon Boot Camp book is the most prized bg book in my library and the one book I'd keep if I could only have one. I recommend it first to all newcomers to my club who ask about books to improve their game.
