I will miss Walter because he gave so much to the game that he loved. He helped build its community and culture by his writing, his playing both live and online, and all he did for the New England Backgammon Club where I have played off and on when I was in that area. He also had a quirky sense of humor, once handing me a fake plastic eyeball instead of a doubling cube during a match in a tourney shortly after Halloween. I will continue to recommend Boot Camp to anyone and everyone, and from now on I will join those who call EPC the "Trice Count".

RIP Walter, may you rest all the better knowing how much everyone appreciated you and what you did for our game and the world.
