There's one aspect I don't follow. Can't the islanders see how many blue-eyeds are in their midst, even before the oracle says anything? (And if they cannot, how do they suddenly become able to do so after the oracle speaks?) That means that the 90 green-eyed will each see 10 blue-eyed, and the 10 blue-eyed will each see 9 blue-eyed. So, each green-eyed will think there are 10 or 11 blue-eyed, and the blue-eyed will think 9 or 10.) That means that, on the 10th day, the 10 blue-eyed should commit suicide (and the other 90 breathe a sigh of relief), per the process explained by Tom Keith.
