If you had 15+ message come up it means you were using a much older version previosuly (The error message are supressed in the next release). If your older version is ancient enough some of your GUI settings may not be upgradeable.
However as I posted on R.G.B and others posted here the solution for the error messages is to click through them save settings so that the old deprecated options are not saved to the config file
As for the crashing, Bob Koca reported one unusual one with changing the language settings.
If using 3D switch to 2D, does the crash go away?
If some people with GnuBG that have crashes are willing to help out with an *experiment* - Close all copies of Gnubg, Go to your home directory (using Windows, not Gnubg) and open the subfolder called ".gnubg" . RENAME the file gnubgautorc to gnubgautorc.copy . Launch GnuBG and manually set all your analysis/rollout/appearance/MET parameters, then do "Save Settings". Exit GnuBG, relaunch. Do you still experience crashes?
You can post your results of the experiment here or email me at mpetch@capp-sysware.com . If your crashes disappear doing this - can you send a copy of your original(copy) of gnubgautorc.copy that you renamed in the steps above, and email it to me directly.
