I can't see three checkers on the ace point, so I'll enter with the 5. I hate providing additional targets by breaking the ace point; what we gain in 5-point making chances we could loose by simply getting blown off the board. The value of the 8 point seems less to me now that the last straggler has fled the premises, but all breaking it accomplishes is duplicating a 4 we'd certainly use to make the 5 point, so 24/23 for the ace.
