;-) this confirms my finding on my Linux builds. The bug is a caching issue when plies are > 3. Cache > 0 and Plies > 3 can potentially lead to some unwanted results such as these. It would also affect any rollout with checker/cube plies > 3. This is not a new bug, but is being discovered because of faster equipment and people running more evals with plies > 3.
We discovered the actual bug (There is a discussion on the GnuBG mailing list), and have a solution for it, and will be a priority to implement (I hate to make promises but I hope for the next Windows Build).
For now if you want to trust Plies > 3, set caching to zero.
Thanks for the report.
