I don't think Scott was an average intermediate at the beginning of last year. I thought he was a strong advanced player when I faced him at Lisle in March 2007. When I saw him at Lisle this year, I thought he had been kind of sandbagging for over a year.

Nonetheless I think he's a very nice chap and I'm glad he's doing well here.

To cap off my weekend of horror, I had to play Perry in a side event this evening. He's an intimidatingly good player and he beat me like a bongo. Rob Maier recorded the match and I hope to see it later.
