Actually, as Sam has already said, its not about 'seedings' its about generating interest. The goal for success here is to make people pay more for the calcutta teams, and to make every team look attractive.

So, any decision to not have players X, Y & Z in a 2 person group is not a slight upon them in any way. Its a way of making sure that there is significant interest in the groups that arent the 2 player groups.

I would say though, the number of very strong players in Madison this weekend was very high, and you could probably have put over a third of the field in 2 player groups.
