GNU/Snowie/XG Cubeful/Cubeless/Live Cube Rollouts

I have found the cubeless numbers to be generally close, but the live cube numbers to be desparate compared to GNU. How does Snowie obtain its live cube numbers? Is the 3 ply tree developed with a cubeless analysis and the live cube calculation performed after that? Or is it developed with a procedure that considers the cube?

I'm not sure how GNU works either.
