Some group has to be the last group sold (or the cheapest, which amounts to the same thing) in a regular calcutta. I've been in the cheapest group a few times, and it never bothers me at all--it's less expensive to buy back.

In last year's Peoria auction, as the number of groups sold, several players bought themselves in order to avoid being in the last group! That dynamic was fun to see, and obviouly raises more money for the Peoria club.
