You aren't ready to hit yet, so b/23, 6/4(2), and 8/4 even though it's kind of inflexible. The more botlike 4/2 would just invite an all-out attack.

If you aren't sure regarding your non-readiness to hit, look what hits you back after 18/16*. 6s and 4s, the two numbers that don't enter from the bar! The 13/9* hit is even more evil because it doesn't allow you to start your board by making the 4 point with the checkers that want to be on it.

I probably have enough problems for a book on small doubles, maybe even just one on double 2's! I can separate them easily from among all my other problems, because they have "DuckSeason" in the subject line. But don't look for a book right away, the farm still hasn't sold so I expect to be keeping more busy than I'd intended to be this summer >>
