PUBLIC DRAW versus SECRET DRAW

I agree that a public draw is more transparent, even though it takes more time and effort for the organisation of a tournament. BUt it also seems that players trust and favorize the public random draw over the computerized one.
Some of the biggest events use computerized draw, such as the the Nordic Open and Monte-Carlo.
If the software used is good and byes are spread in a well-balanced manner (i.e. placed equally in the right parts of a bracket, giving preference in consolation to those who didnīt get a bye in the main, and giving preference in last chance to the players without any byes in main and consolation), then itīs ok to be used. Also, a software makes no miskates, humans do sometimes.
I have a pretty good system I have developped on my tournaments with my staff, so that (almost) no mitsake is possible and re-draws are unnecessary, and the draw is still done in public and by hand. But this also means that registration closes at a certain time and without any esceptions, and there is a time gap between last registration and the draw.
