PUBLIC DRAW versus SECRET DRAW

In Response To: PUBLIC DRAW versus SECRET DRAW (Stick)

Wouldn't it make sense to auction draws ? For instance, at registration the player indicates in a sealed envelope how much he is eager to add to his entry fee to get a bye. Then first step of the draw is allotting the byes by Dutch auction.
