After 7/2* 6/2 Blue has few checkers left with which to continue making progress. He's not likely to make the three point, or the bar point since it's no longer slotted. Blue, way behind in the race, is several rolls away from a cube, even if White fans for a while. White is likely to enter soon, and with all the holes in Blue's prime, entering on the ace point is, well, not as good as on the three point, but pretty good.

After 21/12, White needs to hit (and not all hits also cover), or run to the outfield (only 6-1 does that), or at least step up to the 22 point immediately. If he doesn't, Blue has a double already. If White does step up the 22 point, Blue is a big favorite to prime or attack, with a cube coming soon.
