Why so much debate over Opening Rolls?

In Response To: Why so much debate over Opening Rolls? (Chuck Bower)

Stu Katz used to brag that every time he got into a money game with a new player and he rolled a 4-1 he would play 13/8 just to make the guy think he didn't know the game.

I believe it was Dean Meunch that pointed out to him that he didn't need to do that....after a few more moves the guy would know for sure that he didn't know the game.

Trying to hustle someone by making a bad play is just plain dishonest, if not stupid.
