This is faulty, you must compare the immediate shots to the future shots of the staying play on 6-5 and 6-6. You are just delaying the shot by staying, most of the time. I would estimate the future shots from 6-5 to be about 14 and from 6-6 to be about 13. Instead of a gain of 40 on these two plays, it is actually a gain of only 13. So rather than gaining 11 shots cumulatively, you are actually losing 16, and there is no need to go any further, since the 1-1, 1-2, make it worse.
