Also, I didn't mean to imply that people thought it was too hard. They just thought it was cheating. As in "this plays great but I noticed that the computer always gets the rolls it needs".

For some reason I thought that just by having random dice, people would realize that the program was playing fair. But I learned that accusations of cheating have plagued every backgammon program, strong or weak, even open-sourced ones like GNU. So now I'm taking a lesson from Frank Berger and what he did with BGBlitz. He wrote an excellent article called "Does BGBlitz Cheat" where he explained very clearly exactly how his RNG worked and how you could prove for yourself that his game wasn't cheating. I plan on doing something similar.
