XG - rollout

This reminds me of some of the positions in Robertie's chapter on Action Doubles in 501 Essential Backgammon Problems. Two of the positions in that chapter that Robertie says are great doubles and thin takes roll out to no doubles (though just barely) and very easy takes. I still don't understand these positions very well, but my temporary rule of thumb is to assess the take first; if it's a very easy take, then double only if almost all the hits really are market losers. Does anybody have better advice to give?
