I won't debate the conclusion that this is correct against weak opposition. Stick has studied this deeper than I. But, mistakes after 52D are so common from a weak opponent that I am hesitant to miss a chance to reap them. I am more inclined to make a misplay that gets my equity back immediately. I think score is relevant too. Both of these choices make more sense when behind in a match.
