Loose vs. Lose

In Response To: The Ones who do not accept Losing a game. (Jason Lee)

Amen on the loose vs. lose distinction.

The other one that drives me crazy is the distinction of me and I when used in conjunction with another name. I guess we can thank the innumerable English teachers who have drummed "Joey and I ......." into young brains for years. I is subjective, me is objective. If you are unsure of the usage in a sentence just get rid of the other name and see whether me or I fits.

Unfortunately, the written language is in a retrograde mode.
