Which hit is better?

Between those two plays I like 6/1*, which looks somewhat worse when White enters hitting but a quite a bit better when White rolls badly (for example, after 6/1*, an instant 4-prime is a possibility; after 7/2* Blue threatens to ... make the 9 point?). 'Quite a bit better' quantifiably outweighs 'somewhat worse' ;-

A bot likes a third play -- hitting once. How can that be right, with ... 22 return hits !?
