My experience in these kinds of positions is that no matter how big the racing lead, it is almost always wrong to double with a homeboard gap in front of the anchor when there is no man on the bar. And that having a man on the bar makes an enormous difference as gammons go through the roof. If the blue checker on the bar were simply placed on the 3 point, this would be No Double. But on the bar it is very different. With 14 checkers in the zone and a good distribution of builders, blue will lose lots of gammons. Blue will still win quite a good number of these games, but I think at the score with the lead and the severely restricted recube vig I let this one go. Even score I'd take.
