I cannot find these plays at all.

These problems are the kind that are ruined by QF. Who knows whether I would have been awake enough to find the right play OTB. That said:
Process of elimination:
Am I breaking my front position? Fuck no.
Am I moving the back checker? Not a fuck no but still a no. The back guy is exerting pressure on White's whole position and preventing him from developing anything and threatening to win an awful lot of gammons.
That leaves me with the midpoint and the 10 pt. 13/8 is the standard "do-nothing" play which prepares to run the back guy next time and joker my way home in the race. But if I feel strongly about leaving the guy back right now, why am I preparing to release him next roll? It doesn't really make sense or fit with my game plan. Since I have the initiative I might as well try to improve my position while White is in a world of hurt and before he makes a two point board.
So 10/7 and probably 13/11 is right, although I might have just played 10/8.
