Very clever. I should have known somebody would try something like this. "Losing" -2147483648 points (= winning 2147483648 points) has to be some kind of a record!
The reason for the the calculation error involves the limits of 32 bit (binary) arithmetic. 1073741824 in binary is 1000000000000000000000000000000 (1 followed by 30 0's). Double that and you get 10000000000000000000000000000000 (1 followed by 31 zeros), which happens to also be how computers represent the number -2147483648. So, yes, I guess there should be some kind of programmed limit for the cube. :-)
My reasoning for putting the "Drop" button on the right was to help distinguish a take/drop decision from rolling the dice, since the Drop button is red and the Roll button is green. But I could make the Take button a different color too, maybe blue.
I really like your suggestions for new features. Most of them should make their way into the next version. I hadn't thought of the idea of providing a random direction of play. That's good for players who don't want to get too used to one way of playing.
Please let me know if you think of anything else.
Tom
