I think we should bring the subject up with Bill Davis.

There are a number of good ideas to refine a system that has been in place a number of years. Flaws have become evident over time, which is only to be expected.

Now is the time, while it could still be enacted for next year.

Hopefully he'll be at Peoria. There will doubtlessly be a good-sized, representative field at Peoria -- including many of the top ABT players. Perhaps we could quickly assemble at least a questionnaire for all to complete that would address these issues and gauge opinion. I'm willing to take a quick stab at an initial draft and circulate perhaps tomorrow sometime to those expressing interest in participating.

I like Phil's suggestion on points for every win -- it can be graduated by rounds and would also, naturally, reflect the size of the field. Not that I'm concerned with what the Euros do (I know that will be a surprise to many) but I think it would be consistent with WSOB and the Danish Federation, maybe more. I'm sure those knowledgeable will correct/inform me.

If Phil's already offering to keep the books who could object? (I'm sure there are others willing to volunteer their efforts, me included.)
