I don't think the winner of the twice as large field should get twice as many points. Look at it this way. Suppose that players A and B entered the same 32, 32, and 64 player elimination tournaments. All you know is that A won both the 32 player tournaments and that B won the 64 player tournament. A has at least 10 wins and exactly 1 loss. B has at least 6 wins and exactly two losses. Who performed better and deserves more points?
