My point is that even people who fundementally understand that all such variations are equally likely will be unable to get past their impression that their observations make them suspicious. They notice the string of 4 consecutive 21s; they do not notice all the "normal" 4-roll sequences that happens in between. They may accept your logic and still insist "things are different here".

It may have been easy to prove that there were far fewer doubles than should occur by chance. And that lends just a little bit of credibility to any claim of "it isnt random". But how do you prove "odd occurrences", and are the kinds of people who believe in them likely to have the analytical skills to actually go out and prove it? Or are they more likely to prefer to blame their misfortunes on the conspiracies acting against them.
